London's best Christmas ice skating rinks, including Somerset House and Hyde Park

It is almost time to lace up your ice skates as rinks are set to pop up across the city over the Christmas holidays.

From next month some of the city's most iconic spots will transform into icy destinations for city locals and visitors to skate. 

Battersea Power Station and Hyde Park are just some of the familiar London landmarks that will open their own rinks during the holiday period.

Here’s where you can go ice skating at a rink in London's spots this festive season.

1. Glide at Battersea Power Station

Where: Battersea Power Station, Circus Road W, Nine Elms, London SW8 5BN

When: From November 8 until January 5

2. Skate at Somerset House

Where: Somerset House, Strand, London, WC2R 1LA

When: From November 13 until January 12

Nearest Tube station: Temple

3. Ice Rink Canary Wharf 

Where: Canada Square, London E14 5AB

When: From October 26 until February 23

Nearest Tube station: Canary Wharf
