London ice skating Christmas 2022: Open air ice rinks including Hyde Park & Hampton Court Palace

The traditional adage “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” couldn’t be any truer when it comes to festivities in London ahead of Christmas Day. With the London Hyde Park Winter Wonderland ready to start this weekend along with King’s Cross Station announcing their apres-ski style theme for 2022, open air ice rinks are now popping up around the capital.

For those looking at skating somewhere a little different, Glide comes to Battersea Power Station as families and friends skate against a backdrop of one of the capital’s most iconic buildings. After your skate, stay around the former power station to enjoy live entertainment, hop on a vintage funfair ride, or chill out with a mulled wine in a cosy cabin and sample some of the goods from local London food vendors.
