Winter Wonderland 2022: Full list of rides and price list at London Hyde Park attraction

Winter Wonderland is returning to London’s Hyde Park for more festive fun this year. The event is celebrating its 15th anniversary with even bigger and better attractions than ever before.

Winter Wonderland favourites like the huge ice rink, ice bar and the big six lane ice slide are set to return, as well as the magical ice kingdom with a fresh new look. And the little ones can get in on the fun too with the chance to venture into the dedicated Santaland and meet the man himself at Santa’s grotto.

In between all of the fun, shows and attractions, a host of thrill-seeking rides will also be available. Whether you prefer a scenic ride on the Santaland train or want to have a go on the exhilarating roller coasters there is something for everyone to have a go at.

Exhilarating coasters

Munich Looping

The Munich Looping, a famous ride from the popular Oktoberfest, is the world’s largest transportable roller coaster and it’s back again this year.

Ride info: A tall, high G-force ride, with intense changes of direction, loops and dips. This coaster has five loops that will send the user upside down for brief periods.

Height restriction: 1.2m with adult, 1.4m without adult. Maximum Height is 1.95m. You must be at least 8 years old to go on this ride.

Wilde Maus

This truly wild roller coaster gives you the ride of your life. With a G force of 2.5, you’ll be sure to remember this iconic Winter Wonderland ride!

Height restriction: 1.1m

Ride info: This ride has a small fun house style course leading up to its entrance. When aboard the ride, there are significant dips and fast turns at a considerable height. Height restriction: 1.1m

EuroCoaster

As one of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland’s longest-standing rides, the Euro Coaster is the perfect start to any thrill seekers day! Watch your legs dangle from upon high as it twists you along its 370 metre long track.

Ride info: The coaster has some dips and is at a considerable height. Users are strapped in and the cart is suspended underneath the tracks with legs hanging. Height restriction: 1.2m

Ice Mountain

Take a ride through a mountain cavern, see the dazzling northern lights and meet the resident penguins and polar bears! This hugely popular indoor spinning roller coaster gives you a thrilling experience of the Arctic.

Ride info: A dark lit indoor ride, with changes of speed spins and dips. This coaster spins around often, which may leave some users feeling unsteady. Uses flashing lights and strobes in places. Height restriction: 1.2m with adult, 1.4m without adult

Time Machine

This year Winter Wonderland is delighted to welcome a very exciting new rollercoaster – Time Machine. Twist, turn and spin your way into next week on this steampunk inspired ride!

High adrenaline rides at Winter Wonderland

The Hangover

Boasting some of the best views across London - so long as you dare to keep your eyes open at the top! At a staggering 85 metres high this is the the tallest transportable drop-tower in the world.

Ride info: A vertical tower ride that takes users to the top of a large pillar. Riders are strapped in with legs hanging. The ride drops once from half height and then from full. After an undetermined pause at the top of the ride, the rider will feel the sensation of falling from a height before the ride slows to a stop. The rider will feel exposed to the elements when at full height. Height restriction: 1.4m

Aeronaut Starflyer

The 80 metre aeronaut Starflyer. Aeronaut is the world’s largest transportable Starflyer – the dream of flying comes true!

Ride info: Riders sit in double seats suspended in the air as the ride spins them gently round at a considerable height. Height Restriction: 1.2m

Blizzard

Get ready for 65 metres of pure adrenaline. This fast white knuckle ride will truly take your breath away!

Ride info: Riders are strapped in to a pendulum that rotates 360 and will be sent upside down numerous times from a considerable height at speed. Height Restriction: 1.4m

XXL

This ride is one of the first high G-force pendulum style rides in Europe! This mega-attraction can swing to heights of 47 metres with a claw that rotates at a maximum speed of 15 RPM.

Ride info: High swinging left to right in a pendulum motion as well as spinning. Lots of flashing lights on the arms of the ride and the surrounding areas. Considerable height and speeds. Height restriction: 1.4m

Discovery

The only ride of its kind in the UK and an exclusive NEW attraction for Winter Wonderland 2022. This is an exciting thrill ride for the adrenaline junkies. The attraction rotates 360 degrees on twin axis while flipping through the air. The unique design of this attraction enables the operator to interact fully with riders, controlling the speed, velocity and rotation of the ride.

Ride info: The Discovery has a 20-person gondola that is mounted between two independently revolving arms. The gondola can be braked in all the positions of the arms, so that the gondola somersaults. Height restriction: 1.4m

Dragon’s Nest

The Dragons Nest is an amazing tower ride where you can embark on a journey high above Hyde Park. It’s time to soar!

Ride info: Riders sit in tandem seats suspended in the air as the ride spins them gently round at a considerable height and speeds.

 Dr Archibald VR Experience

Returning from 2019, Dr. Archibald is the first transportable adventure supported by VR Technology. Try this incredibly immersive experience, exclusively at Winter Wonderland.

Ride info: Height Restriction: 1.1m. You must be at least 6 years old to go on this ride. Children aged 10 and below must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 and over.

Christmas Tree Ride

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a go on this festive family ride located in the heart of Santaland. Perfect for everyone to enjoy!

How to book rides at Winter Wonderland

To ensure the most memorable experience, all Hyde Park Winter Wonderland visitors will require a timed entry ticket. The event will be offering off-peak (free), standard (£5), and peak (£7.50) entry tickets, with all advance online tickets for entry, attractions and rides remaining the same as 2021 prices.

Once customers have booked their admission ticket, they can book rides and attractions on the Winter Wonderland website.

Winter Wonderland London 2022 opening times

From November 18 to January 2, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland returns with a host of exciting ice-themed attractions. It’ll be open from 10am to 10pm every day except Christmas Day.

The event will have multiple entry times, but once inside visitors can stay as long as they like.

Morning entry times: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Afternoon entry times: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Evening entry times: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
