I stopped by the new Hello Kitty cafe that opened in London's Somerset House this week.

London Hello Kitty fans can step into the adorable world of the feline character thanks to Somerset House's new themed cafe.

Set in the South Wing of the art centre, if it wasn't for the character sticker on the cafe's entrance, fans heading to the new Hello Kitty cafe could easily miss the charming new spot because of its grey door.

However, once past its unsuspecting exterior, fans are met with the signature Hello Kitty colour scheme of pink and white, which has been accented with a pop of teal.

Along with the spot's whimsical wall art adorning every available wall space, it's no wonder photos of the spot have already begun to take over social media.

While the interior offers fans a chance to immerse themselves in all the cute vibes, the main attraction of the cafe is, of course, the range of treats and beverages inspired by the feline figure.

From Hello Kitty-shaped toasties and cake pops, one meal is even served with carrots shaped as the character's head!

The themed offerings don't stop there, as its drinks menu also features smoothies and hot drinks inspired by Hello Kitty and some of the other familiar Sanrio characters, including My Melody and Cinnamonroll.

On my visit, I couldn't resist the cafe's adorable cake pops and may have bought three, one of Hello Kitty herself, another of her pink bow and a third pink-themed one (they were a set, ok…).

Not wanting to start by biting the ear off the cartoon icon's cake pop, I opted to try the plain pink one first. Unsurprisingly the chocolaty cake pop was as good at it looked.

I also ordered my go to coffee, a latte, and I have to say drinking it from a Hello Kitty cup just made it taste even better than usual.

Hello Kitty fans will be able to swing by the London spot, which is presented by retailer ARTBOX, which specialises in offering cute character goods, until April 14.
