Just For Laughs makes its long awaited debut in London in 2023, taking over London’s The O2 from March 2 to March 5, 2022. The illustrious festival first saw the light of day in Montreal, Canada back in 1983 and, alongside the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, has become almost the holy grail for comedians to be invited to.

As previously reported, Ryan Reynolds is set to headline the inaugural London festival with his Maximum Effort show, chaired by another familiar US face Rob Delaney. Both Reynolds and Delaney worked with each other on Deadpool 2 and audiences can expect the self-deprecating Canadian to once more be on top form as he regales audiences with anecdotes from his Hollywood career and smart investment decisions.

Reynolds will be joined in 2023 by Graham Norton, who made the difficult transition from stand up comedian to beloved television personality. His early stand up routines at Jongleurs led the performer to appear in classic Channel 4 comedy Father Ted, before striking out as a talk show host with V Graham Norton and So Graham Norton in Channel 4. He moved to the BBC in 2001 and his show, The Graham Norton Show, has been a regular fixture for the Beeb since 2007 alongside taking over as the Eurovision Song Contest commentator after the death of Terry Wogan.

We cannot forget also about Kathryn Ryan, frequently seen on panel shows across a wide number of TV networks in the UK. The award-winning comedian is currently dominating the television and live comedy scenes, both in the UK and abroad selling-out her standup tour, Missus, across the UK and Europe. Fans who didn’t catch her live shows can watch her numerous standup specials on both Amazon Prime and Netflix, which also is home to her own scripted series, The Duchess.

International guests alongside Reynolds include Reggie Watts, who can be seen as the house band leader on Late Night with James Corden since 2015 but long time alternative comedy fans will be familiar with his IFC series Comedy Bang! Bang! Series and his use of sound poetry, accompanying himself by either beatboxing, performing vocal bass lines during his shows.

Fans of the US version of The Office will also be happy to learn that Craig Robinson will be coming to London for Just For Laughs. Portraying Darryl on the now hallowed NBC series, Robinson will be performing alongside his band, The Nasty Delicious while local comedians James Acaster and Nish Kumar host a live recording of Acaster’s Springleaf podcast.
