IBike London Pride Ride 2023: When is it and what is the route?

Pride Ride is an annual event organised by IBikeLondon, celebrating the group’s LGBTQ+ friends and allies.

Last weekend saw thousands of people march in London’s annual Pride parade celebrating  the LGBTQ+ community.

This weekend the celebrations will continue with IBikeLondon’s annual Pride Ride, where cyclists will enjoy a cycle around the capital complete with classic Pride disco tunes.

What is Pride Ride?

Pride Ride is an annual event organised by IBikeLondon, celebrating the group’s LGBTQ+ friends and allies.

The 15 mile cycle is accompanied by a fleet of bikes equipped with sound systems which will be pumping out some Pride classics.

It’s BYOB (bring your own bike) and attendees are encouraged to dress in party gear and deck out their wheels with lights and decorations.

When is Pride Ride taking place?

This year’s Pride Ride event will take place on Saturday July 8 from 5pm to 6pm.

Cyclists are asked to meet on the Southbank outside the National Theatre at 4.30pm.

What is the route?

Cyclists will start at the Southbank, then ride through Gracechurch Street through to Shoreditch.

The route will continue through King’s Cross, to Camden and then back though central London via Oxford Street.

How to get involved with IBikeLondon

IBikelondon is a fun and friendly social bike ride that happens every month.

It’s organised by a community of cyclists and is free and open for anyone to join. People of all ages and abilities are welcome!

The group rides at a relaxed pace and routes are 15-20 miles long with themes that change every month. They love riding to music and our rides are always accompanied by a fleet of bikes equipped with sound systems which pump out the tunes and the vibes.

IBikeLondon is created by the team at Cyclehoop who design innovative cycle infrastructure and are major cycling enthusiasts.

They aim to share their love of cycling and show how much fun it is to get around on two wheels!
