‘I visited the London Black Dog pub Taylor Swift named in Tortured Poets Department and enjoyed a house lager’

The London pub has been linked to Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department track The Black Dog.

Taylor Swift’s new Tortured Poets Department album has spotlighted a new south London pub for capital fans to head to.

Vauxhall’s The Black Dog has become a Swiftie London landmark after fans linked the spot to track 17 in her extended Anthology release which has the same name.

While it’s yet to be confirmed whether the pub is the one actually referenced in the track, the south London venue is welcoming tortured poets and Taylor Swift fans alike with open arms.

This is apparent as you walk up to the spot as fans won't be able to miss it’s chalkboard featuring lyrics from the Tortured Poets Department track that it shares a name with.

Despite Swift’s song having been plastered outside, to my surprise, I couldn’t hear T-swizzle playing when I walked into the pub.

To get the full The Black Dog experience I ordered the pub’s house lager which comes in a themed glass with the tavern’s name on.

As the pub was filled with Swifties and other local workers who didn’t seem to have a clue what was going on I headed outside to sit down on the venue’s curbside seating to enjoy my pint.

Over the weekend the pub offered 100 free pints of the tipple to fans for those who quoted Taylor Swift lyrics when ordering.

However unfortunately by the time I paid a visit the on the house pints had already been claimed which was good in a way as I’m still learning the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s latest musical drop.

Costing just below the average cost of a pint in London (£5.90), The Black Dog lager was £5.60 and was a decent tipple for the price.

Whether you’re a Swiftie or a tortured poet you can’t go wrong with a visit to The Black Dog if you’re in the Vauxhall area.
