While entry to the event is free, any money generated will go to the centre’s Charity of the Year, Exodus Youth Worx, an organisation working across Enfield, London, and the Southeast to empower young people through services that foster emotional, physical, mental, social, and spiritual development.
Event Highlights:
- Halloween Parade: The frightful festivities begin at 12:40 pm with a group of creepy circus performers parading through the centre, starting outside Asda and winding their way to North Square for all the main action.
- Live Spooky Circus Acts: From 1pm to 4pm, attendees can enjoy seven bewitching circus acts, including a fire artist, stilt walker, juggler, unicyclist, hula hooper, acrobat, and ringmaster host.
- Charity Fundraiser: Face painting and balloon modelling will be available for a small fee of £1 each, with all proceeds going to Exodus Youth Worx.
- Fang-tastic Free Treats: To sweeten the experience, the first 200 visitors will receive complimentary toffee apples. Members of the centre’s kids club will also receive a limited edition Halloween collector card and a special Cirque du Scare sticker.
- Boo-rilliant Photo Opportunities: Those eager to capture the moment can strike a pose with the scary circus props and tag @edmontgreencentre using #CirqueDuScare.
Following the success of last year’s Spooky Samba Festival, which was shortlisted for the 2024 SCEPTRE Awards’ Innovation of the Year, Cirque du Scare is set to deliver another unforgettable event for visitors from near and far.
Sam Ibrahim, Centre Manager at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, said: "Last year's Spooky Samba Festival showed a real appetite for Halloween events at Edmonton Green. This year, we're excited to deliver an equally enjoyable and impactful experience with Cirque du Scare, offering visitors a unique way to celebrate Halloween while supporting a fantastic local cause.”
