Discover Greater London's most haunted locations this Halloween season, including the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, and the Theatre Royal on Drury Lane.

As Halloween approaches, our attention is turning to the things that go bump in the night...

Our inbox has been flooded with press releases about ghostly encounters and paranormal sites.

Among those was a release from Affordable Urns, (appropriately bleak) which investigated the most haunted counties and towns in the UK.

Much to our surprise (and fright), Greater London ranks as the most haunted county, with a chilling 749 paranormal reports across 607 square miles. Giving it a paranormal activity score of 100.

Of course, we’re well aware of London’s gruesome past, but those are some pretty spine-tingling stats.

If you fancy getting your spook on this season, here are some ‘fang-tastic’ haunted places to visit in London.

The Tower of London is reportedly home to the ghosts of the beheaded Anne Boelyn and the Princes in the Tower.

If Henry VIII’s ex-wives are your bag, pay a visit to Hampton Court Palace which is allegedly haunted by the ghost of (also beheaded) Catharine Howard.

Thespians should visit the Theatre Royal on Drury Lane which is said to be the most haunted theatre in the world.

London has its fair share of supposedly haunted pubs, among those is the Grenadier Pub known for its ghost of a cheating gambler.
