On Saturday, May 6, people across the UK will be celebrating the historic coronation of King Charles. The occasion will be marked with joyous street parties, community events and family get-togethers.

Many will be watching the coronation from big screens across the city, in places such as Wembley Park and Battersea Power Station.

The Met Office forecast has predicted wet weather and some sunshine will hit London throughout Saturday.

Deputy chief forecaster, Steven Keates, said: “London could avoid the showers in the morning before some develop through the afternoon.” He added: “Highs of 20°C are possible in London in any sunshine, with mid to high teens possible elsewhere.”
