Who knows - you might even see the Windsors out partying too.
Royal afternoon tea at The Rubens at the Palace Hotel
There’s nothing more quintessentially British than an afternoon tea, especially if it’s hosted at The Rubens at the Palace Hotel. This gorgeous venue sits directly across from the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace and is set to offer up some delish offerings for the Coronation celebrations. Its King’s Coronation afternoon tea is running from 1st May to the 1st August, and you can even book for the day of the historical event, which is perfect for those wanting a first class view.
Coronation celebration at Galvin At Windows
Travel 28 floors up the London Hilton on Park Lane to Galvin At Windows to kick off the Coronation celebrations. You’ll experience glorious views of Buckingham Palace, and you might even spot a couple of royals, if you’re lucky. Choose to indulge in its Coronation tasting menu which is running from the May 1-6. It includes baked cheesy eggs (which are supposedly one the King’s childhood faves) as well as an array of seasonal veg to pay homage to his love of gardening.
British Weekender And Bottomless Pimm’s at Neverland London
Looking for an event to celebrate the King’s Coronation, as well as a place to drink the ultimate British bev? Then look no further. The British Weekender and Bottomless Pimm’s event at Neverland London is just the ticket. Book in for bottomless Pimm’s for just £20 per person - you can even book your own pergola or veranda for an extra bit of luxury. Indulge in a tipple (or three) at the beach bar, whilst playing games of beer pong, table tennis and shuffleboard long into the night.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth and a love for biscuits (who doesn’t?), then check out the Coronation celebrations at the School of Icing Belgravia. There will be royal themed biccies on offer, plus everything you need to decorate them. You’ll get the chance to ice, beautify (and eat) nine of your very own biscuits - all lovingly created by you. There’s even complimentary tea and coffee on offer as you put your skills to the test.
Coronation afternoon tea at The Montague on the Gardens hotel
Yes, it’s as fancy as it sounds. The Montague on the Gardens hotel is putting on a Coronation afternoon tea on May 6 and 7 that’s fit for King Charles himself. You’ll receive an exclusive Coronation cocktail to enjoy whilst you indulge in all the sweet and savoury treats on offer (we’ve got our eye on the royal chocolate cake). There will also be a whole host of live music to keep you bopping throughout your visit.
Best of British afternoon tea at The Egerton House Hotel
Make your way over to Knightsbridge (one of the most boujee areas of London) and pay a visit to The Egerton House Hotel for its ‘Best of British’ afternoon tea during the Coronation celebrations. Expect everything from sticky battenburg cakes, to luxurious Lanson trifles - and of course, a glass of bubbly to wash it all down. There’s also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on offer so no one needs to be left out.
Learn royal history at The Gunpowder Plot
Use the Coronation weekend as a chance to explore one of the most monumental events in British history. Step back into the early 1600s, where Guy Fawkes and his co conspirators made plans to assassinate King James I. Tom Felton leads as Guy Fawkes (a slight change from his role as Draco Malfoy) in the digital cast, which will make you believe you’re part of the plot. Take a break at its immersive bar for a quick bev or two, and even stay afterwards for a bite to eat. Are you ready to make history?
