Who is Charli XCX?

Her stage name, Charli XCX stands for Charli kiss Charli, which was a username she used on the old messaging app MSN.
Her music career began back in 2008, when she was just 15/16. She began to post songs on Myspace, which eventually led to her discovery, and she was invited by a promoter who invited her to perform at warehouse raves.
Two years later in 2010, she signed a recording contact with Asylum Records.
After tasting some success in 2012, her big break would come in 2014 as she In 2014, contributed with the hook and bridge to the Iggy Azalea song ‘Fancy’. That song finished the year as one of the best selling singles worldwide, and was nominated for two Grammy Awards.

That same year, she would have solo success, as she released the song ‘Boom Clap’ which became her first top-ten single on the Billboard 100.
More recently, she featured on the Jax Jones and Joel Corry single “Out Out” which became a top-ten song, and in 2022 she released her latest studio album named ‘Crash’ which became her first number one album in Ireland, Australia and the UK, whilst also becoming her first top-ten album in the United States.
