Butlin's is calling for performers to prove they have what it takes to become a Redcoat in the capital this week. The holiday resort chain will host open auditions in London as it searches for talents to join its entertaining teams across the country.

Performers up and down the UK are set to flock to the city this week in the hope of getting the chance to wear Butlin's iconic entertainer red coat uniform. In particular, the holiday resort chain is looking for performers to take to the stage in its Skegness, Minehead and Bognor Regis locations.

As part of the auditions, performers will have 60 seconds to win over a Butlin's panel by showing off their particular talent or skill in an energetic presentation. Those who are successful will make it to the Redcoat Academy, which will prepare them to take to the stage at Butlin’s resorts around the country.

The call for Butlin's performers in the capital will open this week on Thursday (November 16). Auditions will start at 10am, when performers will have to show if they've got what it takes to head to Butlin’s Redcoat Academy.

No, while participants can register their interest for the open auditions, it's not a requirement. Those who haven't registered will still be able to turn up on the day to audition. As explained on the Butlin's website, on-day registration will be between 10am and 11pm.
