The Devil’s Hour in folklore

In folklore, the Devil’s Hour (or witching hour) is a time during the night, between 3am and 4am, that is associated with supernatural events.

Some are said to believe that at this time, the veil between life and death is the thinnest - allowing for spirits and ghosts to travel between worlds.

Others believe witches, demons and ghosts can appear at this time, and be at their most powerful state.

What is the show The Devil’s Hour about?

The Devil’s Hour follows the story of troubled protagonist Lucy, who is woken by terrifying visions every single night, at exactly the same time - 3.33am (a.k.a the devil’s hour).

Lucy’s eight year old son seems somewhat withdrawn and emotionless, and she notices worryingly that her mother is speaking to empty chairs. Unexplainable occurrences in her house, make it appear haunted by a life that isn’t her own.

Lucy becomes inexplicably entangled in a string of vicious murders in the area, that she lives. She’s in search of answers that have evaded her for many years, now they are coming into focus.

A story of sleepless nights, disturbing visions and unexplainable events soon becomes one of brutal murder.
