The 2024 Paris Olympics may be over, but luckily for fans with withdrawal symptoms the Paralympics are just around the corner.

The Paralympics will take place from August 29 to September 8, with the opening ceremony taking place on August 28, 7pm-10pm (UK time).

4,400 athletes from around the world will compete in 549 medal events across 22 sports.

For sports enthusiasts who can’t make it over to the French capital for the games, not to worry there are plenty of places to soak up the atmosphere right here in London.

Here are four fan zones in the capital where fans can support Team GB with family and friends for free.

Granary Square, King’s Cross

Soak up the vibrant atmosphere as you watch this incredible event from the idyllic setting of the green steps on the banks of Regent’s Canal.

Watch on as history is made as top athlete’s go for gold and break records.

There will be designated spaces for disabled access.

Power Station Park, Battersea 

Battersea Power Station will host London’s flagship official Paralympics GB Fanzone from August 28 to September 8.

Enjoy all the live action from the six-acre Power Station Park on the banks of the River Thames, and discover sporting and gaming activity taking place across the neighbourhood throughout the summer.

Bishops Square, Spitalfields

Bishops Square will host a large screen showing the Paralympics, with free deckchairs available.

There are also plenty of restaurants, cafes and street food stalls nearby to enjoy while cheering on Team GB.

Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf

The annual (free!) Summer Screens pop-up in Canary Wharf is screening the Paralympics. Simply come along to your chosen event with a picnic blanket and settle in for an afternoon of sporting fun.
