The average Londoner spends just over £23 on an average pub visit. As World Cup fever consumes the capital, expect that total to shoot up. But some thrifty Londoners are finding out how to bag a free pint and watch England’s progress (or lack of it) in Qatar.

The total number of pints sold is expected to reach 65.3 million over the course of this year’s tournament – down 26.7 million compared to 2018.
Ex-England player Ray Parlour has teamed up with VoucherCodes to hand out free pints when England take on Iran at 1pm on Monday 21st November while at work – VoucherCodes On Tap ale-mergency beer delivery unit will hand out free Wolfpack pints.
“Fans love to get behind the Three Lions and enjoy a drink or two while watching the game. But rising costs are taking their toll, and this tournament is going to feel different to the rest, not least with our first game kicking off on a Monday lunchtime whilst many people are at work,” says Parlour.

To celebrate the World Cup, We Love Sport is offering a free pint to customers who are watching the matches at London pubs. Anyone who downloads the app from the Apple or Google Play store can access a voucher for their favourite beverage at Walkabout bars and Sports Bars & Grill.
David Seaman, former Arsenal and England footballer was at the opening of Camden Town Brewery’s World Cup fan zone to prepare for the long-awaited football tournament. The brewery is the brainchild of Jasper Cuppaidge, who opened the brewery in 2007, in the cellar of The Horseshoe in Hampstead. It then expanded next to the railway arches at Kentish Town West station.

Hide AdThe brewery’s Beer Hall in Wilkin Street Mews, has 24 taps, and multiple screens that will be showing all of England’s games from the World Cup. However, there is a tiny catch. You will only get a free pint from their ‘Fresh Legs promotion if a sub scores.
Head to a Greene King pub and you can get a free drink if you download the Greene King Season Ticket app. The pub chain is launching a Feast on Football game on the app from November 15.
Football fans also get 10% off selected drinks throughout the tournament, and this also earns a spin on the Feast on Football wheel to win prizes including cash, TVs and tickets to UEFA’s Champions League.
