The first round proper of the FA Cup is underway with 40 teams vying for a place in the second round of the competition. The first round saw League One and League Two sides enter the competition with the likes of Leyton Orient and Charlton Athletic aiming for a spot in the third round when Championship and Premier League clubs are introduced.
Charlton face Southend United away from home while Orient are also on the road as they take on Boreham Wood. A number of non-league sides from London have made it to the first round and will be hoping to stay in the competition long enough to land a dream tie with a Premier League side.
