West Ham’s stance on keeping hold of key player amid links to elsewhere outlined in report

West Ham reportedly hope that Declan Rice will commit his future to the club despite speculation of an exit down the line.

The England midfielder has been a key player for the Hammers over the past few years.

Rice, 23, has inevitably been linked with a departure from the London Stadium amid reported interest from some of the top teams in the Premier League.

As reported by 90min, David Moyes’ side ‘remain hopeful’ he will stick around for longer than the two years he has left on his deal.

The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United have been mentioned in the report as clubs that have shown interest in him.

Fingers crossed for West Ham

Rice is the main man at West Ham and he may not be at a different club if he left for a fresh challenge elsewhere.

He has been a loyal servant since breaking into the senior team back in the 2017/18 campaign and has gone on to make 205 appearances in all competitions to date, chipping in with 10 goals.

Moyes’ men picked up a big win over Wolves last time out and were relieved to have picked up the three points after a tough start.

They will be hoping they can kick on now and success on the pitch certainly boosts their chances of keeping Rice long-term.
