Sky Sports (live transfer blog, 01.08.22) report that David Moyes’ side remain in ‘talks’ with Onana and are in ‘discussions’ with Frankfurt about Kostic.

The latest on West Ham’s hunt for arrivals

West Ham could do with some more depth in their squad as they gear up for another year in Europe.

Onana, 20, has been a hit since making the move to France last year and is being tipped for a bright future in the game.

He caught the eye playing in the German second tier for Hamburg before Lille snapped him up in August 2021.

The once-capped Belgium international still has four years left on his contract so his current club are under no financial pressure to cash in on him if the price isn’t deemed right in their eyes.

Kostic has been identified by the Hammers as someone to add more competition on the left-hand side. The Croatia international has proven his worth in the Bundesliga over recent years and helped Frankfurt win the Europa League earlier this year.
