West Ham are reportedly keen on midfield pair James Ward-Prowse and Alex Scott from Southampton and Bristol City respectively. The Hammers are close to securing their Premier League status for next season.

According to the Daily Mail, David Moyes’ side are showing ‘interest’ in Ward-Prowse following the Saints’ relegation from the top flight. Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are also believed to be in the frame for his signature.

The same source also suggests West Ham like Scott at Bristol City along with Wolves. The 19-year-old is being tipped for a bright future in the game after catching the eye in the Championship.

Declan Rice is facing an uncertain future at the London Stadium with his contract up in 2024. He is being linked with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United ahead of the next transfer window and would need to be replaced if he left.

Ward-Prowse, 28, is expected to leave Southampton and won’t be short of options. He has made 407 appearances for the Saints so far in his career and has chipped in with 54 goals, as well as picking up 11 caps for England.

Scott signed for Bristol City in 2020 from his local non-league side Guernsey and has since become a key player at Ashton Gate. The England youth international has played 89 games for the Robins and has scored six times under Nigel Pearson.
