Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on Lyon striker Moussa Dembele. The Eagles are said to have identified the former France youth international as a potential target for the next transfer window.

According to Football Insider, the London club are ‘preparing’ a contract offer for the attacker. His contract expires at the end of the season and he is due to become available on a free transfer.

Crystal Palace will have to see off competition from elsewhere if they are to land him though. Fotomac (via TEAMtalk) reported earlier this month that Leeds United, Aston Villa and West Ham are also in the frame.

Dembele, 26, played for Fulham from 2012 to 2016 after joining them as a youngster from PSG. He became a key player for the Whites and scored 19 goals in 64 appearances in all competitions during his time at Craven Cottage.

Celtic then lured him up to Glasgow and he helped the Hoops win the Scottish Premiership title twice after firing in 51 goals in 94 games before Lyon came calling in August 2018. He has been with the French outfit since then but had a loan spell away at Atletico Madrid a couple of campaigns ago.

Crystal Palace are being linked with him now as they look to bring him back to England. They need more firepower up top and the fact he is due to become available for nothing would make snapping him up a no-brainer.
