West Ham linked with Holland international Kluivert with London rivals ‘pushing’ to sign defender

West Ham have the opportunity to add more signings to their squad over the next few weeks.

The Hammers have a tough first game of the season against the champions Manchester City in early August.

Before then though they have a host of friendlies to get through first starting with Servette on Friday.

The game against the Swiss side will be a good opportunity for David Moyes’ players to get back up to speed.

Here is a look at all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the club today....

Holland international linked

Justin Kluivert is the latest name to be linked with a move to West Ham this summer.

The Holland international is the son of Duutch legend Patrick and is currently on the books at Roma. He spent last season on loan at Nice and scored six goals in 31 game.

He is a player who the Hammers are believed to be keeping tabs on right now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (as per Sport Witness).

New signing this week

West Ham are closing in on the signing of Flynn Downes from Swansea City.

The former Ipswich Town midfielder is set to become Moyes’ latest addition.

Wales Online report he is expected to complete his permanent switch in the next 24 hours in a deal worth up to £12million.

Diop eyed by Fulham

Fulham are trying to sign defender Issa Diop from the Hammers.

The centre-back moved to the London Stadium in 2018 and has made 121 appearances since then.

90min claim the newly promoted Cottagers are ‘pushing’ to land the Frenchman at the moment.
