Latest news on the managerial front as West Ham weigh up what to do ahead of next season as they target Premier League survival

West Ham are reportedly considering David Moyes’ future at the club ahead of the next campaign. The Hammers are currently looking to secure their status in the Premier League.

It has been a tough season for the Hammers in the league and they are currently 15th in the table, four points above the bottom three with eight games of the season to play. They are also still in the Europa Conference League.

According to The Guardian, West Ham have ‘identified’ Lille boss Paulo Fonseca as a potential managerial target for the summer. The report also claims Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers are on their radar after their recent departures from Chelsea and Leicester City respectively.

Fonseca, 50, has been linked with the Hammers in the past and has been in charge of his current club since June last year. He still has another year left to run on his contract at Stade Pierre-Mauroy and his team are sat in 5th place in the league.

Prior to his switch to France, the Portuguese manager had spells at Avos, Paços de Ferreira, Porto, Braga, Shakhtar Donetsk and Roma. He has won nine trophies so far in his career, including three Ukrainian Premier League titles.

West Ham could see him as the man to take them forward now. However, they will have to lure him away from Lille first.
