West Have have been handed a major injury boost ahead of welcoming Liverpool to the London Stadium ahead of Saturday's early kick-off against Liverpool.

David Moyes is hoping to see his side bounce back from last weekend's 5-2 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace as speculation over his future at the club continues in the background. Jurgen Klopp's men arrive in the capital also on the back of a painful loss, having been beaten 2-0 by Everton in the Merseyside derby midweek.

That result appears to have all but ended the Reds' title chase this year and the Hammers could rub salt into the wounds with a victory over the visitors. Hopes of doing that are boosted by news that talisman Jarrod Bowen could be available for the fixture.

The England international, who has an impressive 15 Premier League goals this season, missed out against Fulham and Crystal Palace in recent weeks. Speaking ahead of facing Liverpool, Moyes said: “Jarrod Bowen is back training, so there is a good chance he will be available. We will still have to monitor him up until kick-off to see how he is, but hopefully Jarrod is back and fit.

“We’ve got a couple of issues with our centre-backs. Nayef [Aguerd] won’t be available as he’s not ready yet. Dinos [Mavropanos] has got a chance, so we will need to see how he is, but again it’s pretty tight and is a quick turnaround in regard to the game being played at lunchtime. Hopefully, they will be fine."

While the potential return of Bowen is a boost for the Hammers, Liverpool have been managing their own injury worries this week. Diogo Jota is set to miss out again with injury and Conor Bradley will also be absent - although Cody Gakpo could return after missing out against Everton to attend to the birth of his child.
