West Ham have reportedly been priced out of a move for FC Lorient striker Terem Moffi. The Hammers are keen to bring in a new attacker before the end of the transfer window.

As reported by the Daily Mail, David Moyes’ side have ‘asked’ about signing the Ligue 1 hotshot, who has also been eyed by fellow Premier League sides Southampton and Everton, but are ‘unable’ to meet his price tag of £25million. In addition, the London club want Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri as well but he apparently wants to stay in La Liga this winter.

West Ham are struggling struggling for goals this term and are only above the drop zone on goal difference. They are in need of some attacking reinforcements but may have to look elsewhere now.

Moffi, 23, has been in fine form for Lorient in the French top flight so far this term and has scored 10 goals in all competitions. He has already beaten his tally from the last campaign and has now fired a total of 33 goals in 86 games since joining his current club from Belgian outfit Kortrijk back in 2020.

Meanwhile, En-Nesyri hasn’t actually scored a league goal for Sevilla this season in his 12 outings but did impress at the World Cup with Morocco last month. He helped his country reach the semi-final against the odds. West Ham were linked with him last summer and he didn’t end up joining and the same appears to be happening again now.
