West Ham have reportedly rekindled their interest in Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri. The Hammers are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the second-half of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, the London club have made a fresh ‘approach’ for the forward. However, the report adds the deal would be a loan-to-buy.

En-Nesyri, 25, was at the World Cup last month and helped Morocco reach the semi-finals. He hasn’t been in the best of form for his club though this term and has failed to score in 11 La Liga appearances. Nevertheless, he has found the net five times in Europe so far in this campaign.

West Ham have struggled for goals this season and find themselves outside the drop zone on goal difference at the moment. They are in need of some reinforcements between now and the end of the transfer window to ensure they aren’t embroiled in a serious relegation battle.

En-Nesyri, who has played for Malaga and Leganes in the past, is a proven goal scorer in Spain and his best season came in 2020/21 when he fired 24 goals in all competitions. He would give the Hammers another option in attack and a plan B in matches.

David Moyes’ side won 1-0 away at Brentford in the FA Cup last time out thanks to Said Benrahma’s goal against his former club. Next up is an away trip to Wolves this weekend.
