West Ham and Crystal Palace are both reportedly keen on Dundalk defender Emmanuel Adegboyega. The youngster is said to be wanted by clubs over in England.

According to the Irish Examiner, he has ‘attracted the attention’ of both the Hammers and the Eagles over in Ireland. Championship side Norwich City have also been credited with an interest.

West Ham and Crystal Palace could see him as a decent long-term option as they keep an eye on the future with some of their recruitment. The London duo both have prestigious academies and are always on the lookout for players to further bolster their ranks.

Adegboyega, 19, has been with Dundalk since January last year and big things are expected from him at Oriel Park. Prior to his move there, he had various spells across Ireland with the likes of Glenmuir United, Warrenpoint, Newry and Drogheda United.

He has found a home where is he now and will be poised for senior game time when their new campaign starts. However, his side could face a battle to keep him with English clubs linked.

In other news, West Ham’s loan request for Manchester United’s Harry Maguire has been rejected according to the Daily Mail. The Red Devils want to keep hold of him until the end of the season.
