Following the confirmation of Kehrer’s arrival, we have everything you need to know about the centre-back...

How much did West Ham pay for Thilo Kehrer?

Thilo Kehrer has joined West Ham for a reported fee of £10.1 million plus add-ons.

The defender arrives in the English capital on a four-year deal with an option of a further two years.

The 25-year-old had entered the final year of his PSG contract and the French club were eager to offload him on the cheap rather than see him leave for free next summer.

The Irons fought off interest from Sevilla to win the race for the German.

What is Thilo Kehrer’s salary?

While it is unknown how much Thilo Kehrer will be paid at West Ham, claim that he was on €104,500-a-week (£88k) before leaving Paris.

If he is to be paid a similar amount or more at West Ham then that will make him one of their highest paid players below only new signings Scamacca and Areola, as well as Jarrod Bowen and Kurt Zouma.

Career highlights

Thilo Kehrer joined PSG from Schalke as an exciting young player four years ago, with the Ligue 1 club paying €37 million for the defender.

Bar a foot injury that left Kehrer sidelined for four months in 2019, the Germany international made 78 league appearances across four seasons for PSG, helping them to three Ligue 1 titles in the process.

However, his first team opportunities are limited now with Presnel Kimpembe, Sergio Ramos and Marquinhos, while Kehrer was yet to even feature for PSG this season.

Meanwhile, Kehrer has also had plenty of success with the national team, first captaining the U21 side to Euro glory in 2017 before being called up to the senior squad the following year.

He has since earned 20 caps for Germany and has played more minutes under manager Hansi Flick than any other player since he took over in May last year.
