David Moyes and his side have had to wait almost three weeks between that result and the cup final in a season skewed by the winter World Cup and West Ham fans will be raring to go this evening.

An impressive 20,000 Hammers are expected to travel to Prague, despite receiving a measly allocation of 5,780, with many watching from fan zones and local bars. The London side’s opponents tonight come in Vincenzo Italiano-managed Fiorentina who recently played in the Coppa Italia final, losing out to rampant Inter.

It’s been a successful season for the Florence-based club, whose cup runs have been added to with an 8th-place Serie A finish. West Ham boss David Moyes is up for the challenge and has labelled the Europan final as the ‘biggest moment’ of his career.

The 60-year-old said: “It is slightly surreal. To turn up and have your own dressing room is a big thrill for me. I really hope I can take it to the next level and win the game.

“I’ve had a really good career since I started coaching at 35. Over a thousand matches, been in some finals, had some promotions. But this is the biggest moment. To be a coach for as long as I’ve been, you’re obviously doing something right.”
