'Here we go' - West Ham, Newcastle United and Man Utd beaten to £21m marksman

West Ham will not bring Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri to the London Stadium this summer, despite reports suggesting that the Morocco international was a top target for the London outfit.
The Hammers are known to be in the market for attacking reinforcements ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign and GIVEMESPORT had reported that the club were readying a formal offer for En-Nesyri 'in the coming weeks' at the start of July. However, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, it is Turkish club Fenerbahçe who have won the race to sign the player.

"After Saint-Maximin, Fenerbahçe have agreed on personal terms with En-Nesyri and booked flight/medical. Sevilla will receive fee in excess of €20m for the Moroccan striker."
En-Nesyri has been with Sevilla since 2020 but it had been reported that the club would be open to selling the talisman for a fee of around £21 million this summer. The striker bagged 20 goals in all competitions last season, making 41 appearances in total and only missing one La Liga fixture through injury over the campaign.

West Ham were not the only Premier League outfit said to be interested in the 27-year-old. Newcastle United were reportedly considering a transfer move in May with Manchester United said to have been tracking the player since December.

The player, who scored 23 times last season, is believed to have a £34 million release clause in his current contract.
