England weathered a storm vs the USA on Friday evening to secure a 0-0 draw against their Group B opponents. The Three Lions enjoyed 56% possession of the ball but it was the Americans who had more shots on goal (10).
But arguably the best chance of the entire match came late on when a swinging free kick from Luke Shaw was headed wide by England captain Harry Kane, who had a free header but couldn't direct his attempt on goal. The USA deserved a point, though, and it leaves England needing a result from their final group match against Wales on Tuesday, November 29 at 7pm.
Whilst the game wasn't exactly a classic, in Qatar the atmosphere held up its end of the bargain and here is a photo gallery of some of the best fan pictures from the contest. This gallery includes snaps of club flags such as West Ham’s, England fans, USA supporters and the family and partners of some of England's players.
