West Ham rival Celtic and Southampton for little known 16-year-old twins tipped for football stardom

The two Airdrie twins have reportedly attracted Premier League suitors without making a first team appearance for the Scottish side.

West Ham are rivalling Southampton and Celtic to complete a deal to lure teenage twins Cole and Dylan Williams away from Scottish outfit Airdrie with the duo tipped for a big future in the sport.

The two rising stars are still little known to the footballing world as they are yet to make a first team appearance for the Scottish Championship outfit. The Williams brothers both play for the outfit's under-18 side but have appeared on the bench for the first team.

That first time in the matchday squad came in October of this season as Rhys McCabe's side lost 1-0 to Raith Rovers. Neither player was thrown into league action in that defeat.

Cole and Dylan have clearly impressed scouts and eager eyes watching Airdrie at youth level with several big clubs linked with making a swoop even at this early stage of their careers. The Sun claims that West Ham are just one Premier League club looking at doing that, with Southampton also interested, while Celtic could provide an offer that is closer to home.

It is believed that both teenagers are on short term contracts with the club with the chance to move to a Premier League outfit a hard opportunity to turn down. The two Williams brothers both play in midfield.

Any investment from West Ham would surely be thinking ahead to the future rather than any immediate first team involvement with the two players still so young with time in the academy likely needed before stepping onto the London Stadium turf with the first team.

The Hammers signed two teenage stars this summer as Julen Lopetegui came into the fold. The first was Luis Guilherme from Palermeiras in a deal brokered by Tim Steidten in Brazil.

The club also signed 18-year-old Mohamadou Kanté from Ligue 2 club Paris FC but the teenager was loaned back to the French outfit for the season having put pen to paper on a five-year deal in London.
