RANKED: West Ham penalties rated including 'lethal' 10/10 as Brentford dumped out FA Cup

West Ham made tough work of ensuring an impressive performance against Brentford ended in FA Cup victory on Monday evening, taking it to penalties at the London Stadium.

The Bees had won on their last two visits to the Hammers and the result was put down to the spot after Jarrod Bowen and Igor Thiago braces cancelled one another out.

West Ham had a cocky Dango Ouattara panenka to thank for booking their place in the quarter final, the home side’s players all also deadly from the penalty spot.

Jarrod Bowen - 7/10

Kelleher went the right way here and was just a few millimetres off palming it away. Luckily, Bowen unleashed with enough power and loft that the goalkeeper’s dive was not fruitful.

Tomas Soucek - 8/10

Hadn’t had the best of games and looked a little nervous on the run-up. Kelleher went the right way but enough lift on the shot to make sure he was nowhere near.

Callum Wilson - 9/10

Likely brought onto the pitch largely to execute his penalty and did so superbly. Perfect technique to strike the ball high and wide. You don’t save those.

Konstantinos Mavropanos - 9/10

Always a little scary seeing your centre-half step up to take the spot kick, but Mavropanos made no mistake. Chose the corner favoured by those before him and put an end to the FA Cup tie. Kelleher could only watch.

Taty Castellanos - 10/10

The type of penalty that was only either going to get full marks, or zero. Lashed the ball into the very top of the net after a stuttering run-up, the trajectory of the shot leaving London Stadium hearts in mouths. Lethal.
