Antonio Conte’s time at Tottenham Hotspur has drawn to a close after the best part of two seasons.
The Italian guided Spurs to a top four finish last season, but he wasn’t able to take the team further forward this term. Tottenham remain strong contenders to qualify for the Champions League again this season, but after Conte called out Tottenham’s players and owners last weekend, the ultimate outcome appeared inevitable. The decision was taken on Sunday, and assistant Christian Stellini will now oversee first-team matters until the end of the season.
There were plenty of memorable moments during Conte’s time at Tottenham, though, and here we look at nine of the best.
9. The outburst
Conte left Spurs with one final memorable moment, though for all the wrong reasons. After a draw with Southampton in what poroved to be his final game in charge, the Italian called out his players and the club’s owners. The rant proved fatal for his time at Tottenham. | AFP via Getty Images
