The pacey and experienced winger will bring his wide skillset to North London, with Antonio Conte looking to build a team that can compete for the title and also do well in Europe.
They have been linked with some of the best players from Italy since Conte took over and they are knocking on the door for Alessandro Bastoni.

When he sold Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, Spurs splashed the cash on the magnificent seven and it’s fair to say it was only Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen who came out of those signing with flying colours.
With the enthusiasm building for the summer, let’s take a look back at some of the signings the Lillywhites did which looked promising but ultimately proved costly in the end.

1. Mbulelo Mabizela
Spurs signed him from Orlando Pirates after he impressed in pre-season but after just a season with just nine appearances, he was asked to try his luck elsewhere. | Getty Images

2. Andy Reid
Reid was signed alongside Michael Dawson but lasted only two seasons. He was decent in his first season but lacked pace and the form of Aaron Lennon meant he had no future at Spurs. | Getty Images

3. Mido
Was special during his loan spell but all that came crashing when Spurs made the deal permanent. Just that one goal 12 games before Martin Jol sent him off to Middlesbrough | Getty Images

4. Roberto Soldado
Signed from Valencia after the sale of Bale, Soldado worked hard but just could never score a goal. It was quite painful watching him struggle in the Premier League. Funnily enough he was decent everywhere but at Spurs. | Getty Images
