Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says Richarlison's return to full fitness is 'fantastic' news for his team ahead of their game against West Ham this weekend.

The Brazilian has missed the last five games due to an operation on his groin, but appeared for five minutes against Manchester City over the weekend.

He is expected to get more game time when Tottenham host West Ham on Thursday night and manager Ange Postecoglou admitted his return is a boost as they look for their first win in four games.

Postecoglou said: "It's great to have him back because the only recognised centre-back we have fit at the moment. To have him as a recognised centre-back back in the team is good.

"He's a fantastic player but also a leader in the group. From a leadership perspective, it is also good to have him back."

Tottenham showed incredible resilience to come back from a goal down twice against Manchester City and ultimately earned their point, bringing an end to their three-game losing streak.

The north London side have also been boosted by the return of defender Cristian Romero, who has completed a three-match ban for his sending against Chelsea.

West Ham were the first away side to win a game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but since then, they've not won there in five attempts with Postecoglou's side now huge favourites to return to winning ways on Thursday evening.

David Moyes though, will be encouraged by the fact that only Burnley have dropped more points from winning positions than Tottenham's 13.
