Pape Sarr, James Maddison, Micky van de Ven: Tottenham injuries and expected return dates ahead of Man City

Tottenham have as many as 11 players missing the trip to Manchester City this weekend either due to injury or suspension.

Tottenham have lost as many as five players to injuries since they last won a league game and have lost up to 11 players since the start of the season.

They lost their first league game against Chelsea at home and in that game, they lost both James Maddison, and Mickey van der Ven to long-term injuries.

Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie were sent off even though the Italian defender has since returned and featured in the defeat to Aston Villa having missed the Wolves one.

Richarlison has been forced to take surgery while the returning Rodrigo Bentacur has returned to the treatment table cruelly after an ankle injury suffered following Matty Cash's challenge.

The games don't get easy for manager Ange Postecoglou who now has the task of hoping young but impressive midfielder Pape Matar Sarr recovers from the setback that made him miss the Aston Villa defeat.

Tottenham have won five of their last seven meeting against Pep Gaurdiola's side but they face a different challenge this time with injuries threatening to derail an impressive start to the campaign.

So with everything at stake, below is the list of injured Tottenham players and their expected return dates.
