Tottenham Hotspur will be keen to add defensive reinforcements during the summer transfer window, as Ange Postecoglou’s side have struggled to keep clean sheets this season.
Furthermore, key defenders Micky Van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie and Radu Dragusin have all faced injury problems, causing Tottenham to struggle this season.

They will look to add more quality in defence in the summer window, and have now been linked with a former player.
Tottenham tipped to re-sign Kyle Walker-Peters
According to fresh reports, Tottenham could make a move for Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters who previously came through the academy at Spurs, making 24 first-team appearances for the club before joining the Saints on a permanent deal in 2020.
The 27-year-old left for a transfer fee of £11m, and has since made 191 appearances for Southampton, scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists. This season, Walker-Peters has played 22 Premier League games for the Saints.

The defender rejected a January transfer move to Turkish side Galatasaray to let his contract run down, with Southampton bosses now resigned to the fact that Walker-Peters will leave as a free agent in the summer.
He made his England debut in 2022 but only has two caps, and the opportunity to play at Spurs again might be able to hand the defender a shot at getting into Thomas Tuchel’s team.
Walker-Peters could replace Pedro Porro should Real Madrid make a move
Tottenham full-back Pedro Porro has previously attracted interest from both Manchester City and Real Madrid. The latter views him as an alternative to Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Walker-Peters could be a cut-price option to replace Porro, should the Argentinian full-back leave to join the La Liga giants in the summer transfer window. He can play both on the left and the right side, and would provide Postecoglou with some much-needed depth at the back.
However, the interest from Fulham could prove a more likely move due to the fact that Cottagers defender Anthonee Robinson has attracted interest from both Liverpool and Manchester United. Marco Silva could look to replace Robinson with Walker-Peters as a free agent in the summer, meaning a move back to Tottenham could be less likely.
