Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly keen on a Fulham star who has impressed this season.

Fulham could be at risk of losing star defender Antonee Robinson, who is reportedly wanted by both Manchester United and Liverpool after an excellent start to the season at Craven Cottage.

The left-back has made 11 appearances so far this season, providing three assists and helping Marco Silva’s side climb to seventh place in the Premier League table. Fulham have 18 points, which is only one point off the Champions League places and they went into the international break with a confident 2-0 win over London rivals Crystal Palace.

According to former United, West Ham and Aston Villa scout Mick Brown, both Liverpool and Man United are monitoring Robinson amid uncertainty over the futures of both Luke Shaw and Andy Robertson who are both either dealing with injury problems or faltering form in recent months.

He told Football Insider: “I think Robinson is a really good player. After his form so far this season, I’ve heard there are a few clubs keeping tabs on him. Some of the top clubs in the Premier League have been watching him for a while, but the way he’s playing at the moment, that interest has grown.

“I’d count Man United and Liverpool among them. Whether they’ll make a move or not, I’m not sure, but they’re among the clubs tracking him. From what I hear, Fulham won’t let him leave in January anyway, so if it happens it won’t be until the end of the season.”

How much could Fulham earn from selling Robinson?

According to Brown, the Cottagers are keen on keeping hold of Robinson for the remainder of this season, likely since they have a shot at finishing in a European football place after such an impressive start under Marco Silva.

Robinson is contracted at Fulham until June 2028 after he joined in August 2020 from Wigan Athletic for a fee of £1.8m. The USA international has made over 160 appearances since joining Fulham and is currently valued by TransferMarkt at a figure of £21m. The Cottagers could look to hike the 27-year-old’s price up closer to £25m if both United and Liverpool are keen as they won’t want a rival to sign Robinson over them.

However, it would be a good business move by Fulham to sell Robinson in the summer, when his value would likely be the highest that it could ever be due to him getting closer to 30 years of age.
