Tottenham will take on West Ham in one of the top liners of the weekend’s Premier League games.

Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke is eager to be involved in the upcoming London derby against West Ham this weekend. The Lilywhites are looking to bounce back quickly after a surprising defeat to Brighton before the international break.

Tottenham has been consistently inconsistent this season, showing resilience after their loss to Arsenal but then falling short against Brighton at the Amex. Solanke, who made a return to the England squad last weekend for the first time in a long while, is settling into his role as the club's lead striker.

When asked if he was prepared for the match against the Hammers, Solanke emphasised that every player is eager to participate in such a significant clash, given its importance to the fans and wants to experience it. He told the BBC:

“I love it, and as a footballer, everyone wants to get involved in games like that. It's a big game for us. There's a lot on the line for players, so yeah, like everyone else, I want to be part of it. I think all the boys will be ready, and this should be a great game. I enjoy scoring goals, and when those goals end up being winners, it's just that much more special.”

The England striker, who was signed this summer as a replacement for Harry Kane (who left the club a season ago), has scored two goals in five league games. Fans are hopeful that, after the international break, he can fully settle into his role as Tottenham's main forward.

Spurs are aiming to build on their fifth-place finish last season, with manager Ange Postecoglou promising to end their long trophy drought. Tottenham has not won a trophy since their League Cup victory in 2008, and rival fans often use that fact to taunt them.
