Tottenham receive late boost ahead of Manchester United as key star is spotted travelling with the squad

Both Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner could make their debuts for Tottenham at Old Trafford.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been handed a massive boost with Romanian Radu Dragusin having his work permit issues cleared ahead of the game at Old Trafford this afternoon. He was spotted in the team hotel with the rest of the Spurs team.

Dragusin, 21, became the Spurs' second signing of the January window after Germany forward Timo Werner joined on loan from RB Leipzig. Both are now in line to debut against Erik ten Hag's team.

Tottenham boss Postecoglou had hinted the defender would be in the squad if he got all the paperwork in on time. His presence in Manchester is confirmation that all has been cleared and he's ready to contribute straight away.

Spurs will however be without Ben Davies who is out with a hamstring injury, while Giovani Lo Celso is sidelined with a muscle issue. The hosts are also boosted by the return of six players, with Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw all back in training.

Antony is also available, while Amad Diallo and Christian Eriksen have both returned after illness.

Manchester United have slipped to ninth on the league table and will be desperate to get something from the game- but Spurs will have their own ideas as a win will take them ahead of Arsenal who are not in action this weekend.

Tottenham won the first meeting in north London by 2-0 and will keep their hopes of mounting a title challenge if they can bag all three away today.
