Tottenham player ratings as Son Heung-min scores goal of the season contender in convincing win

Tottenham jump into fourth with 3-1 win over Leicester City in the Premier League.

Spurs had come into the game on the back of a defeat and a draw in their last two games but took the lead through Kane in the first half after a brilliant delivery from Son Heung-min.

Leicester City briefly threatened a fight back with half chances for Patson Daka and Iheanacho but Spurs condensed that and held on for a first half lead.

Kulusevski was proving a menace every time he attacked and it wasn’t long before Son as has been throughout his time at the club curled home a beauty from outside the box into the top left corner for Tottenham’s third and his second which essentially sealed the victory.

Kelechi Iheanacho then scored a face saving goal in stoppage time to give the travelling fans something to hold on to.

The win momentarily takes Spurs back into fourth on 61 points with Arsenal getting their chance to respond when they take on West Ham later on the day.

Next for Spurs in the league will be a testing game against Liverpool who are chasing down Manchester City for the Premier League title.

There is a feeling that the all-important North London derby will define who plays on Wednesday night or Thursday night.
