Tottenham suffer major blow ahead of Man Utd clash as key star ruled out
Tottenham have suffered a big blow in the lead up to their away clash with Manchester United on Sunday. Spurs head to Old Trafford in need of a win after a slow start to the season, though United are in the same situation, just goal difference below their Sunday rivals.

Hide AdAnge Postecoglou has maintained a sense of calm during the early weeks of the season, and comfortable wins over Brentford and Qarabag have helped lift morale ahead of an Old Trafford clash. Though, Spurs will not be helped by a key absentee in the form of Son Heung-min. The South Korea international was said to have a chance of returning in time for the trip North.
Postecoglou said in his pre-match press conference: “Sonny, I don’t think is too bad. He wants to train tomorrow (Saturday) and we will see how it goes and make a decision from there. We have another day up our sleeve to give him every chance.”
But according to the Daily Mail, Son’s injury has not responded as well as hoped, and the decision has been made to not risk him against the Red Devils. The 32-year-old has already scored twice and assisted as many this season, and his absence will be acutely felt at Old Trafford.

Hide AdPostecoglou will now likely go with Brennan Johnson on one side and Dejan Kulusevski on the other, having a number of players he can play in the middle instead of Kulusevski, who started on the side of the midfield last weekend. Meanwhile, Timo Werner will also be an option having often started on the bench so far this season.
United have plenty of injuries themselves, Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw all sidelined. Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund are said to have a chance of returning to play on Sunday.
