Tottenham have enjoyed a solid start to the season so far.

Antonio Conte’s men are being backed by some to put together a title bid, and it’s so far, so good after a busy summer of signings.

Spurs went into this weekend just one point behind leaders Arsenal, and they return to action on Saturday evening.

The Premier League postponed last week’s outing, but the clash with Leicester City on Saturday evening will go ahead.

Tottenham will be looking to keep the pressure on with a win in that one, but in the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Spurs.

Skriniar links

Tottenham are said to be weighing up a move for Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar.

Skriniar has previously been linked with Spurs having impressed with Inter Milan over recent years.

Interestingly, the centre-back is out of contract at San Siro next year, and FC Inter News claim Tottenham are ‘seriously reflecting’ a possible move.

There are historical links between the two, and Tottenham may yet get the opportunity to sign the Slovakian for free next summer, or perhaps even on a cut-price deal in January.

Richarlison opens up

Richarlison has opened up on his big money transfer in the summer, explaining why he left Everton for Tottenham.

“It’s always a tough call when you have such strong connections with your club,” he told FourFourTwo. “And that was definitely the case for me.

“I was happy at Everton and I’m grateful for everything I learned there. It’s a big club with a lot of history.

“However, perhaps they’re suffering with a lack of ambition nowadays. You know, that eagerness to win matches and trophies.

“I spent four years there and I could see there was still a very long way to go to achieve big things.

“I felt it was the right time to move on, and the club also had to make some money. It was a good deal for everyone involved. I’m delighted with this new challenge at Spurs.”
