Cristiano Ronaldo, Wilfried Zaha and the players Chelsea and Tottenham are tipped to sign in January

It was an interesting summer transfer window for both Chelsea and Tottenham.

Chelsea spent record amounts to improve their squad amid four key departures over the summer, including Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.

But the Blues are yet to see maximum benefit of those signings, struggling to hit the ground running, something Thomas Tuchel has already paid the price for.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are off to a very impressive start, heading into this weekend within one point of leaders Arsenal.

A number of new signings during the summer are already proving very useful, with Spurs snapping up the likes of Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic and others.

But who could Chelsea and Tottenham target in the winter window?

Here we take a look at who bookmakers Sky Bet are backing the two London clubs to sign.

Chelsea

Cristiano Ronaldo - 6/1

Chelsea were linked with a move for Ronaldo during the summer amid reported discontent on the side of the Portuguese.

Tuchel reportedly blocked a move, but now that he is gone, bookmakers think there could be a done in January, with Chelsea the favourites.

Wilfried Zaha - 13/2

Zaha has been heavily linked with Arsenal in the past, but Chelsea are second favourites to land the Crystal Palace star.

Though, this would be a very expensive deal to pull off in January, with the Palace side built around the winger.

Jude Bellingham - 16/1

Bellingham appears to be a man on Liverpool’s shortlist, but that’s with next summer in mind.

Borussia Dortmund are likely to sell the midfielder before next summer, and Chelsea are unlikely to pull off a deal having already spent a huge amount already this season.

Bellingham will likely cost £100million or more.

Douglas Luiz - 16/1

Luiz was subject to a bid from Arsenal late in the transfer window, and he could be on the move in January.

The Brazilian is out of contract at Aston Villa next summer, and he could be sold for a cut-price fee in the winter.

Though, Chelsea are not favourites to sign him.

Tottenham

Wilfried Zaha - 12/1

Tottenham only feature in the odds for two players, and one is Zaha.

As mentioned above, Spurs would have to pay a big fee to sign Zaha in the winter, and whether they do or not will likely depend on what Antonio Conte’s men are on course to win.

Jude Bellingham - 25/1

Any deal to sign Bellingham seems extremely unlikely for Tottenham, who added Ivan Perisic and Rodrigo Bentancur within the last year.
