Tottenham play against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday before visiting Fulham at the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to keep their hopes of a trophy this season alive this week as they play in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie against AZ Alkmaar.

The Dutch side won 1-0 in the first leg, in what was a surprise result, leaving Ange Postecoglou’s side with work to do in the next leg on Thursday. They will then play against London rivals Fulham on Sunday in the Premier League, as they look to get back to winning ways in the competition.

Postecoglou’s side has struggled with injuries this season, but after defenders Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven both returned during the draw against Bournemouth last weekend, things are looking much better.

Ben Davies

Defender Davies is recovering from a knock, and he is back in training, but it is unclear as to whether he will be ready for Thursday’s game.

He was a doubt for the Bournemouth game over the weekend but wasn’t deemed fit enough by the Tottenham medical staff. He will hope to return this week, either against AZ or Fulham.

Expected return date - Thursday 13 March vs AZ Alkmaar (H)

Richarlison

Brazil international Richarlison is recovering from a calf injury that he suffered early in February after not long coming back from a hamstring injury.

The striker is unlikely to return against AZ on Thursday, but he could be in line for Spurs’ trip to Fulham over the weekend as he would most likely appear as a substitute due to the fact that Dominic Solanke is back in the starting XI.

Expected return date - Sunday 16 March vs Fulham (A)

Dejan Kulusevski

Midfielder Kulusevski suffered an injury in the lead up to the first leg of the round of 16 clash and is unlikely to return before the international break, which comes as a big loss for Postecoglou.

The Tottenham manager said last week: “Deki is the only one [who hasn't travelled]. He's got a knock on the foot, [and] it's got a bit sore in the last couple of weeks. He's been able to train and play, but it wasn’t getting better. He's unlikely to be back before the international break.”

Expected return date - Thursday 3 April vs Chelsea (A)

Radu Dragusin

Dragusin was ruled out for the rest of the season when he suffered an ACL injury in February. He is in rehab after undergoing surgery on his leg.

He won’t be back for the start of next season either and will be looking at trying to get back to full fitness before the end of 2025.

Expected return date - December 2025
