Tottenham could be without up to five players and Bournemouth could also miss five players.

Tottenham will want to get back to winning ways this weekend after what was a poor result during the week in the Europa League.

Ange Postecoglou’s side lost 1-0 to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the first leg of their round of 16 tie. It means they go into the home leg in need of a better result. They play against Bournemouth this weekend who sit 10 points ahead of Spurs in the Premier League table.

Bournemouth injury news

The Cherries could be without five players on Sunday with three already ruled out for the game.

Defender Adam Smith is out with a calf injury, it is not understood quite when he will return. Manager Andoni Iraola said last week: “He's having some issues with the calf in his recovery; it was a hamstring injury, but now he's having issues in his calf. He's still not training with us, no.”

Striker Enes Unal is also out with a knee injury, he underwent surgery in January and will be working towards a return next season.

Centre-back Marcos Senesi will miss the Bournemouth game as he underwent surgery on his hamstring in December. He could return after the international break.

Bournemouth’s two doubts include right-back Julian Araujo who has a hamstring injury. He is likely to be fit after being back in training after over a week.

Ryan Christie is also a doubt, he is currently being assessed over a groin injury, which is expected to be a major issue. Both are likely to play against Spurs on Sunday.

Radu Dragusin is out for the rest of the season after dealing with an ACL injury which forced him to have surgery in February. He will be working to make a return before 2026.

Dejan Kulusevski is also out for Sunday’s game, with a return after the international break looking likely for the midfielder. Manager Postecoglou said: “He's got a knock on the foot, [and] it's got a bit sore in the last couple of weeks. He's been able to train and play, but it wasn’t getting better. He's unlikely to be back before the international break.”

Richarlison will also miss the Bournemouth game as he continues to recover from a calf injury. He is looking at a return for the game against Fulham on March 16.

Defender Ben Davies has also been ruled out with a knock, he is back in training and expected to be available for their Europa League second leg against AZ next week.

In terms of doubts, Dominic Solanke suffered a lower back injury during the AZ game, and looked to be in considerable pain. He is currently being assessed by the club’s medical staff with a return at the weekend looking less likely.

Postecoglou said: “ “With Dom, it was [a] big [impact from] the knee into the back-side. He's probably a bit sore, but it’s a knock. So hopefully it settles down quickly.”
