According to Italian news outlet Tuttosport (via Inside Futbol) the attacker could ‘reunite’ with his former boss at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2023 when he returns from Italy.

Richarlison praised

Richarlison proved to be the difference for Spurs as they saw off Marseille.

The Brazilian, who joined from fellow top flight side Everton in the last transfer window, scored in both the 76th and 81st minute to help his side win.

Conte was full of praise for him and said, as per the Daily Mail: “First of all I am happy for Richy because he deserved to have a night like this. I remember very well when we signed him he said I can’t wait to play and listen to the Champions League music. Not many words but important words for me.”

He added: “We signed Richy because we tried to sign a player that was able to play in all three positions. For this reason we hadn’t had any doubts to sign him. We did this quickly because our idea and vision was very clear, especially for this reason.”

Barton spotted

Former Premier League midfielder Joey Barton was in the away end with Marseille fans last night.

The current Bristol Rovers boss had a loan spell with the Ligue 1 giants during the 2012/23 campaign.

He reunited with some of his old supporters yesterday, as per BT Sport on Twitter.
