Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping an eye on Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Marcus Thuram. The attacker is out of contract at the end of this season and is currently due to become available in June 2023.

He is on Spurs’ list of ‘targets’, according to 90min. North London rivals Arsenal have also been mentioned as another potential suitor.

The 25-year-old has been named in France’s squad for the World Cup and will be eager to put himself in the shop window in Qatar. He has been a key player in the Bundesliga since making the move there in 2019.

Thuram has made 119 appearances for Gladbach in all competitions to date and has chipped in with 41 goals and 26 assists. He has particularly been on fire this season and has fired 13 goals in his last 17 outings.

He started his career at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and broke into their first-team as a youngster before landing a move to Guingamp in 2017. A two-year spell with the latter then followed on before his move to Germany.

Spurs could see him as someone to bolster their attacking options and give them something different to what they have already. Antonio Conte’s side are currently 4th in the Premier League table and are three points above Manchester United in 5th.
