Tottenham to return for Brighton star if they fail to secure deal for Christian Eriksen

Tottenham have a potential back up for Christian Eriksen if the deal for the midfielder falls through this summer.

Antonio Conte is pressing on for a deal to bring Eriksen back to North London, but the Italian manager has identified Brighton’s Bissouma as an ideal back up plan if the Dane opts out of the move.

Spurs have seen ENIC inject a much needed £150million into the club this summer, and they have drawn up a list of six players who Conte will bring in to augment the team.

The fact that they have a multi-billion pound stadium that was not used for Champions League football has been a blow to the club’s finances, and owners want to correct that with the best decision making this summer.

Football director Fabio Paratici is in Italy sorting out plans for the summer and the news of the latest cash injection will be soothing to Italian manager Antonio Conte, who had cast doubts over his long-term future at the club.

The addition of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur has been game changing for the Lillywhites, and they will look for more of smart signings to increase the numbers and quality in the team.

Yves Bissouma has had another brilliant season at the Amex, and there is a feeling that he might have played his last game for the Seagulls.

He fits the perfect player for Conte, strong on the ball with technique and endless stamina to last two games in one.

Spurs put up a strong end to the season where they won their last three games, including a confidence boosting 3-0 thrashing of Arsenal in the North London derby.
